Bilingual schools in Pilar, Escobar, and Tigre
If you live on the northern Panamericana corridor (Pilará / Routes 34–28, Puertos, Maschwitz, Nordelta), the bilingual offer grew with the gated communities. This guide sorts who is who, each school’s pedagogical profile, and which 2026 figures are published (almost always: few).
How to read this map
- Bilingual ≠ international. Almost everyone on this list is bilingual on the Argentine calendar (March–December). Genuinely international expat-profile schools (Lincoln, BAICA) sit closer to VL / San Fernando — see bilingual vs international.
- Fees: the rule is “contact.” In Pilar and Escobar almost no one publishes an open table. The transparent anchor in Tigre district remains Northlands Nordelta.
- New campuses = real-estate demand. La Nación and local press documented top brands landing next to gated communities; official opening dates sometimes slip (always verify on the school’s site).

1. Northlands Nordelta (Tigre) — official 2026 table

It is the best within-Tigre anchor for comparing “premium bilingual + IB.”
2. February 2026 press (northern corridor, not Pilar)
La 100 reported St. George’s College fees (Feb 2026): primary $1,250,000–$1,700,000; secondary $1,975,000–$2,100,000. Useful as an order of magnitude for the segment, but it is not a Pilar/Escobar campus (North campus in Los Polvorines). Always request the circular from the school you are considering.
3. Market context
Clarín notes that unregulated-fee private schools (no state-subsidy cap) — typical of premium bilinguals — can exceed $1,500,000/month. That explains why old aggregator bands (“120–300 thousand”) are often outdated versus 2026.

Tigre / Nordelta

Escobar / Puertos / Maschwitz
- Northfield and St. John’s anchor the bilingual offer inside Puertos. St. John’s expanded secondary with the IB Diploma and works continue (community reported by the development: 300+ families at the campus).
- Del Faro (Itínere Network) is a lighter hours / not fully bilingual alternative — useful for contrast, not the same product.
- Dover (Maschwitz): eco-bilingual pioneer (1992), trilingual with Portuguese since 1996, IB World School (Diploma since 2014), Trinity GESE and Cambridge FCE/CAE. Fees: ask

Pilar (Routes 34 / 28)
- Colegio del Pilar: presents itself as the district’s first bilingual (since 1982); Route 34 km 2.5; admissions with exam from room 5; discount for alumni children (admissions).
- St. Matthew’s North: SMC’s northern campus; fees are shared at the first interview (process) — no public PDF.
- St. Catherine’s Moorlands Pilar: Las Truchas at RP 34; bilingual from the SCMS group (Belgrano / Tortuguitas). The official site marks opening 2028 and enrollment for early years (from age 1) and primary (pilar.scms.edu.ar). 2024 press spoke of 2026; prioritize the school’s date.
- Holy Cross Pilar: campus announced on Route 28 (origin Beccar); Catholic bilingual with single-sex classrooms. Pilar a Diario (2024) placed it among the most expensive in the Province — with no verifiable public figure here.
Checklist before paying enrollment
- Request the 2026 fee circular (tuition + enrollment + funds + cafeteria + bus).
- Ask the intra-year update policy (unregulated fees).
- Confirm whether “bilingual” includes IB / Cambridge / Trinity or only intensive English load.
- For new campuses: real opening date, levels open in year one, and secondary plan.
- Compare with published anchors (Northlands Nordelta; Lincoln if you are looking at USD — pesos vs dollars).
Summary
The Pilar–Escobar–Tigre corridor is no longer “Nordelta or nothing”: there are consolidated bilinguals (Dover, Colegio del Pilar, SMC North, Northfield, St. John’s) and premium brands expanding (Moorlands, Holy Cross). The bottleneck for families remains fee opacity: outside Northlands (and some press notes on other top schools), the work is building your own spreadsheet from school documents.
